NEW DAY

The day stretches open like a yawn

Welcomes me into it like a smile

As my mind becomes still with gratitude

Still with awe at the potential revealing

The old ways leave me empowered

By the light of a purple candle

Bringing Justice

For as ye sow, so shall ye reap

A glass jar full now of ashes and symbols

Tucked away at the back of a shelf

This day is new because yesterday said so

And tomorrow allowed it

Past, present, future

Eternal flow

Cycles of life, death, rebirth

Growth and decay

You will get what is coming to you

As the cart surely follows the horse

No one escapes their karma

Rotten seeds bring evil flowers

Good can only bring good

I stand at the crossroads

At the threshold

A daughter of Hekate knowing

That she is with me as I honour her

It is she who decides what you will reap

So watch your back and watch your step

Wrongdoer

Attacker of the innocent

The candle is almost burnt down

And Justice is near

Just as dawn follows night.
